Accountant (Fresher)
Job Description:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant (Fresher) to join our finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or entry-level candidate with a strong foundation in accounting principles to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and dynamic environment. You will assist in managing financial transactions, maintaining records, and preparing reports, contributing to the company’s financial accuracy and integrity.
Responsibilities:Assist in Financial Recordkeeping:
- Record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, expenses, and bank transactions.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of all financial data.
Support Month-End and Year-End Close Processes:
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Help with reconciliations of bank statements, accounts, and ledgers.
Prepare and Maintain Financial Reports:
- Generate and update financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure that all reports comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
Assist with Audits and Tax Filings:
- Help gather documents and data required for internal and external audits.
- Assist in preparing information for tax filings and compliance.
Expense Tracking and Budgeting:
- Support tracking expenses and maintaining budgets.
- Monitor variances and suggest cost-saving measures.
Stay Updated with Financial Regulations:
- Keep up-to-date with financial laws and company policies to ensure compliance.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or SAP) is a plus.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Bonus Skills (Preferred but not required):
- Familiarity with data entry and financial recordkeeping.
- Basic knowledge of taxation and auditing processes.
- Exposure to ERP systems or other financial management tools.
